About the project.
Faksdal Brygge is a cocktail bar and restaurant located by the Norwegian coast. The project focused on creating a brand identity that reflects the calm and character of its surroundings — maritime, minimal and modern.
The goal was to design something that feels refined and rooted in place, with visual cues drawn from the sea, wood, and the rhythm of coastal life.

To balance authenticity and sophistication. The brand needed to feel premium without losing its local charm, and modern without becoming sterile.
approach.
I built the identity around natural textures, soft contrasts and clean geometry. The logo references architectural signage and Nordic lettering traditions, while the color palette takes inspiration from sea foam, sand, and dark oak. Every element was created to feel tactile and warm, giving the brand a quiet confidence that fits the location and atmosphere.
Outcome.
A timeless visual system that feels relaxed yet intentional. Faksdal Brygge stands out through simplicity and detail, not decoration — a coastal identity that speaks with restraint and balance.
Final thoughts.
This project reminded me how much power there is in calm design. When every element has purpose and space to breathe, the result feels effortless and genuine.
